Keep Oakland Housed
Keep Oakland Housed is committed to preventing vulnerable Oakland residents from losing their housing.
Our program provides legal representation, emergency financial assistance, and supportive services. This program is available to all Oakland residents who are experiencing a housing crisis and have a household income at or below 30% of the Area Median Income, with priority to extremely low-income households. Legal representation will be provided to tenants with an active eviction lawsuit up to 50% AMI.
KOH closes the gap that allows people with unstable housing to fall into homelessness. People with a rent burden over 50% (rent/income = rent burden) may qualify for a shallow subsidy to decrease the burden of rent.
